hmmm, not my kind of place. I will be curious to see how they do in that location.

Seems like a place I would enjoy, but I think I'd rather be at Jack's. I wish they were moving into the other side of town instead.
Any ETA on the grand opening?

Besides despising the fake "look at us, we're GREEN!" movement, I find it funny that they don't define themselves by anything that relates to the quality of or taste of the food.
If I'm in the area, it would be hard to pick this over Jack's just based on first impressions. We'll see. Maybe they'll hand-out some free coupon to give them a try.

Biodegradable + Energy Efficient + Recycleable + Natural = freshii

Exactly. What does "natural" mean anyway? For most foods, including produce, it just means it doesn't contain artificial ingredients (remember: sugar, salt, fat, etc. are all natural ingrendients). It doesn't mean that it hasn't been treated with pesticides (for that, it would need a USDA certified organic label). For meat and poultry (note the "natural" chicken on the menu), it means it was minimally processed without adding artificial ingredients, such as flavors, colors and preservatives. It has nothing to do with how the animal was raised or fed (hormones, antibiotics, corn vs. grass, etc.).Also, the USDA allows the term "natural" on processed meats because smoking and salting are not adding synthetic ingredients.
It's marketing hype and nothing more.
For me, I'd much rather get my produce at Soil Born Farms or the Sac Natural Foods Co-op so that I know it is local and organic (until I get my own garden growing!) and make my own salads. That said, this could be a good once in a while indulgence as an addition to Jack's.

Yep. And I immediately have a negative physical reaction to this crap. You can usually find flaws in any earth/environmentally friendly claim. It's like the rube that once jumped on my case for having a small SUV because she was so "green" and "sacrificed" by driving a Honda Civic. She failed to comprehend how her commute from Berkeley to Rancho in her Civic was still worse than my 20-mile daily commute....

Got the same thing from a co-worker who has two hybrids, one civic & one highlander. He commented that he was bummed I didn't buy a hybrid. He & his wife each commute 30-ish miles each way. When I drive, it's 2 miles round trip. I'm still ahead in the impact race.Yep. And I immediately have a negative physical reaction to this crap. Ain't that the truth, best way to commute green is to live close to your work. my wife gets the short commute, I used to for many years, then it grew from 4 miles one-way to ~8 miles one way, company re-located to EDH. Then I lost my job, when I returned to being gainfully employed, it is ~20 mile commute, but as it is up in the hills, I'm going the opposite direction of most commuters, so I at least get to cruise at a sustained speed over most of my 15 miles on the freeway instead of being stuck in the stop'n'go fuel wasting/air polluting mode of commuting. I wouldn't mind getting a job back in town, someday I hope to. I would like to supplement my retirement income as a part-time professor at the local community college someday.Got the same thing from a co-worker who has two hybrids, one civic & one highlander. My wife wants to go there for dinner tonight. I find the menu confusing for one.
Two, I'm not sure what my son would want from there.
Can you just get a bunch of crap on the side?
Any help before I go there is appreciated.
