Anyone see this? Thought it was funny Blake Shelton asked the guy where he was from and he said "Folsom, Ca" Blake then replied "I've never heard of that place before" Kind of cool to be on the map in front of the world. Also there were loud screams from the crowd when he said he was from Folsom, just wondering if anyone here was on or at the show.

It took me several takes to figure out what show you were referring to, and who you meant by "the voice from Folsom".

You are talking about the show titled "The Voice".

Was the guy any good? Did he get on a team?

I posted the same question last night in the TV forum. He did do well! He got picked and is on Blakes team. A friend of mine knows his family really well. I'm excited for Folsom to be on tv! Yay!!

I must have seen the re-run of the show, it was my first time watching it. In fact I wasn't really paying attention until I heard a guy annouce he was from Folsom.

They were showing this on KCRA this morning. He sounded pretty good.

While I love listening to Blake Shelton's music (and he's a great personality, too), it's somewhat odd, as a country guy, that he hadn't ever heard of Folsom. Cmon, you haven't heard of Folsom from listening to Johnny Cash? Maybe he was being facetious.

If you've ever heard him talk, that's his humor.

Yeah we felt that he was joking when saying he hadn't heard of Folsom. But who knows.

His mother, who is also pictured in the clip three times, was my daughter's cello teacher. I believe she still lives in Folsom. Very good people.

You may or may not be seeing Folsom on the big screen in the not-so-distant future...

His mom is still a great cello teacher and works at Sutter with the special ed students. The whole family is very musical. Tyler is an alum of Folsom Jazz choir.
