That's a shame. Also just went there for breakfast and had a great omelet. It seems that particular building has had its share of variour tenants/restaurants. Location??Darn! Have been going there since they opened, more so before the economic crunch than lately. Wish I could have added to their sales more. The kids love the quesadilla's as I do and the home fired potatoes are great! Organic Coffee too! Will miss the brother and sister who have been running it since they opened as Ernies of Late Tahoe, the family restaurant in South Shore Tahoe.
On a slightly different note, how about the landlord of the Raley's shopping center hiring a painting contractor and painting that center. That place is urban blight. What a dumpy center. More empty storefronts than leased. Who's next?

Perhaps location, but also signage and concept. One could pass it without noticing it, and for $5, I don't think people expected much. That's a shame. Also just went there for breakfast and had a great omelet. Do people really shop for the cheapest possible restaurant? I think a place that advertised awesome food would have more success than one which advertised cheap food. Maybe the cheap food concept might make more sense in a roadside diner or touristy place.
I'm just guessing.

We used to have a business meeting in there when it was the other name and one of the owner's had a bad attitude concerning pricing so we left for another spot.

Agreed. One thing Folsom is missing is a signature breakfast joint, someplace that would be worth of being on a Food or Travel channel show. We have a lot of breakfast places but none feature anything you can't get somewhere else.

I think the closest thing we have to something like that would be Lake Forest Cafe. I've never had a bad breakfast there.

Lake Forest, Sutter St Grill, and the Purple Place are all examples of how to put out decent breakfast.

Sutter Street Grill has the best breakfasts in town. As for unique, making great food should be good enough, it'd be stupid for them to have to create some marketing joke just to get media attention. But then again, maybe they could build a 10lb Breakfast Burrito for Adam Richman to try and conquer.
Ernies or 5 dollar, the quality of the food was very low.

Yeah but the difference between those places and 5 Dollar diner is breakfast becomes $25-30 vs $5-10 at the Diner.
I disagree that the food quality was low/bad, it was good for the money

Agree SSG is the best. And El Rincon actually has the best breakfast burrito in town that I've tried.
