Anyone know what is going on at Blue Ravine, between Prairie City and Riley? Helicopter flying low, and several police cars parked along Blue Ravine.

Nope but after turning down the AC I hopped onto here to see. I don't know either.
Anyone know what is going on at Blue Ravine, between Prairie City and Riley? Helicopter flying low, and several police cars parked along Blue Ravine.

I was at my daughter's soccer practice at Lembi Park and saw the helicopter for quite some time. I came here looking for info too.

Looks like we all want to know the same thing. I drove by Levy at 6:30 and saw an under cover detective guy with a bullet proof vest. Also three police cars at the park on Hunter Place. Then two more on Sibly by the bike trail. Something is going on in the Ravine area. We need Ducky to figure this one out.

My husband was just at the Walgreens on Glenn and Riley and he said that there are about 10 cop cars all over Wal Mart and all entrances are blocked. He also said that a few of them had their flashlights out and are searching around.

Did anyone ever hear what this was all about? I dialed around to all of the local networks last night and didn't see anything about this on the news and I'm not seeing anything about it in today's paper, either.

They were searching for a burglary suspect. I have no idea if they found who they were looking for.

I live in that neighborhood - we heard the helicopter telling everybody to stay off the streets and the bike trail. I too turned on the news to find out what was going on, but nothing....

there is a big problem with rabid racoons and skunks this year, there might have been a sighting, but that would not explain the undercover with the bullet proof vest. come to think about it you are not very undercover when you are wearing one of those vests

When they do that I always make sure and put my dogs in, too, just in case they have to chase someone through your yard.

And to think I was going to take a trip to Wal-Mart about that time, but procrastinated and didn't.
I've lived here for over ten years and have never heard as many helicopters fly over than in the last year. It seems there are fly overs almost every day!
I live in the Prairie Oaks area. Not an area I ever thought I'd be hearing helicopters fly over at least three times a week.
Now, I go in the house when I hear them and make sure all the doors are locked.
It's a sad life when a person don't feel safe in their own back yards, or front yards, for that matter.
Don't tell anybody, but Folsom is having a crime wave and they don't want the general public to know!
