I was wondering if anyone knows if HOA fees in the Promontory covers front yard maintenance? Are HOA fees deductable?

Starting with our second question first, and with the caveat that I am not qualified to give tax advice, to my knowledge, HOA fees are not deductible, as they are a private membership group, not interest or property taxes.

I don't want to do anything that may be construed as interfering with your relationship with your Realtor, but I do have a copy of the Promontory Association Manual. I can give it to you or your Realtor, and I believe it is also available online.

Looks like front yard maintenance is the Owner's responsibility: thepromontory.com/residents/Community_Manual.pdf (see page 13)

HOA fees are not deductible.
