Is Old Europe still open? I was trying to use a Living Social voucher that expired yesterday and the restaurant was closed last night. Is it out of business?
I sure hope so, Thomas the owner is a very good friend of mine, the phone # is 608-9848 to check, I will also call later and talk to Thomas if possible

I would think that they would have installed the new POS system and ran it tandem or something so as not to lose potential customers.
I will be back though, as the "Wienerschnitzel mit Spätzle is sehr gut."
Das is sehr guten essen. Das einzige, was besser war Omas Käsespätzle!
(The food is very good. The only thing better was Grandma's Cheese Spätzle!)

I suppose that heavy German influenced food is not everyone's style, and not something you'd want to eat all the time. But their take on common German dishes, has been close enough, that I enjoy them for what they are now and then.
I do love going to Europe, last time I was there I was lucky to have this as my Rental Car and took it to 240 KMH which is about 150 MPH on the Autobahn, now that was fun!

Is that because you don't like German influenced food? Or do you feel the Service is not up to par?

Dude I like the place and the food, especially with a tall glass of Spaten. It's just been empty the last few times I was there.
BTW, nice rental car! and good on you for driving it like it's supposed to be driven -@ top speed!

I'm surprised with your comment Dude. We had lunch at OE a few years ago with Carnivore, DavBurr, and several others from MyFolsom and enjoyed a great burger. On other occasions we enjoyed a very good German dinner. Service was also very good. Unless this has changed in the last few months, it is a great restaurant.
No no no, read post above, you guys got me wrong. I like the place, it just needs more customers

Ah we got that wrong and glad to here. Maybe MyFolsom needs a little meetup there. German food, beer, more beer and lots of people can be a good event.

What backed me off the full speed was the thought of blowing a tire at that speed, I just didn't want to test (push) fate. So after a long stint (miles) of "wow I'm driving how fast??!" - I pulled back.
Oh and cars were passing me even at that speed - Audi R8 and a Motorcycle glued to his bumper made me feel like I was standing still (when they blasted past me) - now that was crazy!
