FOLSOM POLICE HAVE ARRESTED TWO PEOPLE IN CONNECTION WITH A COPPER WIRE THEFT.
IT HAPPENED ON RILEY STREET BETWEEN GLENN DRIVE AND WHALES DRIVE.
POLICE SAY THEY TOOK COPPER WIRING FOR 16 AIR CONDITIONING UNITS ON THE ROOF.
THEY TOOK OFF ON BIKES AND WERE LATER CAUGHT.

We will have a reporter live in the 7AM hour

They took off on bikes? That's hilarious. How much copper could they possibly be stealing if they don't have a van?

A duffle bag full according to the Fox 40 video. I wonder how much it will cost to fix what they did.

They should be made to pay for the repair.

Good job, Folsom PD!!

Ditto! Good job, coppers!

I bet the land lords for those apartments are grateful that the wire will be returned. It costs more to put it in than the cost of the wire, sadly.

the wire is hugely expensive and the sad thing is that you can't splice this wire. so they have to buy more wire. at least they may be able to recoop some of the cost themselves by taking the wire into a recycler.

It's actually the strip mall that was hit. It doesn't actually look like copper wire. What it looks like is copper pipe and tubing in the duffel bag on the Fox 40 video. I imagine it will still be expensive to repair the damage. I wonder if Round Table will have any air-conditioning today. It has to be hot back where the pizza is cooked.

These guys may be the same ones who hit the UCD/Ciros/KidsCamp/Quick-Quack at Prairie City and Blue Ravine a few days before the arrest. They broke out the water pipes leaving all of the offices, the car wash and business without water for an entire day. They ought to be made to pay for the damages and repairs.
