I don't understand going to that expense to dress up the exterior.

I just wonder how hard it was to get the new look approved. I stumbled over the planning commission minutes related to when the gas station was reopening across from Sutter Middle and there was nitpicking because the Circle K sign color clashed with the Shell sign color.

If they think it will improve business, more power to them. Is it kind of like the Wigwam Motel idea on Route 66?

Jimboy's is horrible, greasy dripping food. I think I had it once. I don't know if making the bldg look like the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland will help but at least it's a change.

Ugh, having been on the now-defunct architectural review commission I can't believe anything that isn't sand-colored with no exterior lighting ever gets approved here.

That's how I remembered the chain, but I think they have changed, the last time I was dragged into one (which was the one in Folsom), the food seemed much healthier, no grease dripping from the taco meat, corn tortillas steamed instead of deep-fried. I was surprised.Jimboy's is horrible, greasy dripping food. I think I had it once. Ha! Just read your description of the architecture ...dead on. However, you say their food is horrible, and you THINK you have eaten there once? C'mon...get your facts straight before you slam a place.
