Advisory
Water Main Break on Folsom-Auburn Road
TRAFFIC ALERT: WATER MAIN BREAK ON FOLSOM-AUBURN ROAD NEAR OAK AVENUE PARKWAY IN FOLSOM – TAKE ALTERNATE ROUTE
City of Folsom water officials encourage motorists to avoid the Folsom-Auburn Road and old Oak Avenue Parkway intersection (near McDonald’s) this afternoon and evening. The area is flooded due to a water main break.
City crews are on site assessing the break and planning repairs. They expect that one lane in each direction will remain open. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes such as Hazel Avenue and Folsom Lake Crossing.
Up-to-date information will be posted on the City’s website throughout the afternoon and evening.

Another great day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

Ugh! I am in the Folsom Ranch Apartments up on the hill and we are the only area that is affected. We are on a boil alert until further notice. They are hoping by Monday the water will be tested safe to drink. Bummer because this weekend I will have company and my water usage will most likely double!

I thought it strange that today (Saturday) nobody is working on this. Just plates over the hole, and traffic reduced to a single lane and routed around it. Must be a city pipe and not San Juan water, guess nothing moves until Monday at 8am.

Maybe they are waiting on parts?
