Nice atmosphere, very pleasant staff. Our server (Whitney) was excellent, very attentive without being overbearing.
We each had one drink, shared a plate of oysters, each had an entree and each had a dessert and the bill was exactly $100.
The only thing we weren't thrilled with were the desserts. They only had 4 choices and neither of ours were great. They weren't bad at all, just not great.
I had the tempura prawns and they were HOT and very fresh. So often you get tempura that comes out lukewarm and you can tell the oil wasn't super clean. Would definitely order again.
We don't go out to dinner often because my husband is a chef and the last thing he wants to do is go to a restaurant when he gets home from his but we look forward to going back there.

The appetizer didnt come out and when I asked the waitress she questioned why I would receive it. I told her that it was my understanding that it came with my meal. She said no, then left. She came back after checking the ticket and said "it will be right out."
The ribeye was tough, and cooked medium instead of medium rare like I has asked. Lemon cheesecake tasted like regular cheesecake with a slice of lemon on top (squeeze the lemon juice onto the cheesecake).
The rice that came with my friends' dinner was undercooked to the point that it was hard.
Probably won't be going back anytime soon.

Disappointing service. I ordered the "restaurant week" special which was appetizer, main, and dessert for $30.

it is frustrating when a restaurant offers a special and then treats like you a second class citizen for ordering it. try Chops. its great.

I haven't been to Land Ocean since they opened. It was pretty good but not great. Do they offer a surf and turf option yet? I thought that it was funny that it wasn't on the menu.
HUH ? You "HAVEN"T BEEN" there, yet you say "it was pretty good BUT not great" How does that work ???
Another great day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

You skipped the part that said "since they opened", it was in-between what you capitalized. That's how it worked.

My wife and I will be going in a week or so. We haven't been in a couple of months. Love those tempura prawns with the coconut butter sauce. My husband and I were going to go out for a cocktail and an appetizer last night but decided at the last minute to go ahead and do dinner. We went to Land Ocean since we'd never been there and we were very pleased.
Nice atmosphere, very pleasant staff. Our server (Whitney) was excellent, very attentive without being overbearing.

We usually have good service, too.

I was there the week they opened and I haven't been since. Why the need to respond like that?

Thanks.

We got there about 6pm, and sat at a booth in the bar area. You can order from both happy hour and dinner menus in the bar area only.
Happy hour goes from 4 to 7, so drinks are cheap ($4 to $5), and apps are too.
We ordered drinks and an app (tempura prawns with coconut butter sauce!), then ordered dinner from the regular menu.
I figured we save $20 or more by doing it that way, because the apps and drinks are full price on the other side of the divider between dining room and bar, and the service and atmosphere was great.
