At least according to this thread:

http://www.godlikepr...sage1829879/pg1

It'll be interesting to see what eventually happens to the space.

Maybe we can get a Fry's Electronics to move in there?

I felt like I went to the wayback machine and plugged in 1995.

I don't think anything is confirmed, but that list is very specific with store numbers and such, so it looks legit. And frankly it wouldn't surprise me. Our Best Buy is on the small side, plus we have a Costco, Sams Club, Walmart, Target, Office Depot, Staples, and Gamestop all within close proximity that cover much of the same products, and all serving a fairly small population. Plus, Folsomites are a fairly savvy bunch and I bet most of us know to check Amazon before making a purchase. I sure do. I only use Best Buy if prices are comparable (rarely) or I really want something soon.

I hate to see them go, because it's always good to have the option, but I'm not surprised.

According to my daughter who is going through the hiring process at that store right now, that store isn't going anywhere anytime soon....

Since there appears to be very little to support the suggestion that this store is "closing," I would suggest the moderators delete this thread.

Which tells me they will be closed within 3 months!

They announced this morning that they're closing seven stores in CA. Folsom was not on the list I saw.

Store 845 Folsom, CA is on the list.

I contacted Bestbuy earlier this week because I have a maintenance contract on
my TV for another year and a half. I asked them if other Best Buy stores in the
area would honor the contract and fix the TV if necessary and they said yes,
indicating that the Folsom store would be closing. They didn't say when.

It appears the original listing that the OP listed in the link is TOTALLY WRONG- Hardly a single match ( IF ANY as I only checked 5 states with ZERO MATCHES) to the listing above... and Folsom is NOT on the more believable listing- even though 3 more stores will be closing later in the summer.

Another great  day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

I had always questioned the origninal list of stores. I'm sad to see the stores closing in this economy anywhere, but I'm glad it isn't going to happen here in Folsom, at least for now.
