It is with incredible saddness I pass along the news that Jeff Johns passed away Tuesday.

He was so young, so vibrant, so committed to helping all kinds of people. He was the subject of a Folsom Telegraph article recently.

My sincere condolences to his family back east, his friends in the city, and his coworkers. I will really miss Jeff.

Sorry to hear about Jeff. Was it sudden or something long term ?

Another great  day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

Jeff never said he had an illness. He was vigorous and well when I last saw him. Just yesterday his coworkers were telling me he was not going to be laid off again in July, made possible by demotion of a supervisor.

Jeff was very concerned about another layoff. Still, he was young and healthy and did volunteer police work in another county during his time off.

So sorry to hear about Jeff. I talked to him a few times on the phone
but never met him one on one.

Our sincere condolences to family, workmates and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Jeff John this Saturday, April 28th from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at the Folsom Community Center. Please join us in celebrating the rich and all-too short life of Jeff. He was taken from us far too soon, but will live on forever in our hearts and in the memories that we have of his generosity, kindness and absolute love of life. I was fortunate enough to have worked with him for almost 15 years and know that he touched many lives, made a difference each and every day, in too many ways to list.

I am sorry to hear about Mr. Johns' passing.
Like, camay, I haven't ever met him personally, but he did answer some code enforcement questions I've had
over the years and he was a really nice person.

Thoughts and prayers to his family.

If Tears Could Build A Stairway"

If tears could build a stairway
and memories were a lane
We would walk right up to heaven
And bring you back again.
No farewell words were spoken
No time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knows why
Our hearts still ache in sadness
and secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
No one will ever know
But now we know you want us
To mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store
Since you'll never be forgotten
We pledge to you today
A cherished place within our heart
Is where you'll always stay

I knew Jeff for a few years now. Very nice person, even in the duties that he always had to perform. Talk about a kick to the chest. Dang.

His obit is in today's paper. He leaves a 2 year old child. So sad. Curious as to why no one has posted the reason. Is it becuase no one knows? It leads the mind to wander...
