Folsom Police Helicopter

A Folsom PD helicopter has been circulating over our neighborhood periodically for the past 20 minutes, making an announcement. It is difficult to hear the complete message over my neighbor's barking dogs.
Something about a 4 year-old child? I think. -- Does anyone know what the message is?

How reassuring to know that the police will take such serious and prompt action in the case of a missing child in town. Thank you Folsom PD.

Folsom PD does not have its own helicopter. They have a contract with Sac County Sheriff and CHP to provide necessary helicopter services. They're both based at Mather.

Yeah there were Police everywhere. One car stopped quickly to check me out when I was getting the mail with my daughter. I have no problem with them doing what they did. Glad they found the child.

I've been told that bad guys talk to each other and they might just want to stay out of folsom for that reason.
I'd like to see them get a little hotter on folks who drive too fast.
folks ought to put a sign on there door whether they are liberal or conservative. The conservative folks have guns so any bad guys would steer clear. the idea would be they would steal from the liberals who would be upset, but not too much cause they would feel a little sorry for the crook who was a criminal because had some rough times when he was a baby
was glad to see that nobody was upset by the noise the helicopter made

I have to say I was incredibly impressed with the number of citizens who were out looking for this child. All kinds of people in vehicles and on foot really saturated the neighborhood for at least 2 hours. We were really amazed! And of course, Folsom police did their job in top form as usual. We are fortunate.
It is unfortunate that it was a case of miscommunication as to where the child was, but at any rate, it's heartwarming to know that our neighbors will respond en masse to help, and that we have the police department to respond quickly and efficiently.

Yes, but remember us liberals don't have much to steal - either we've given it all away to the needy or we're starving artists and never had any in the first place. Plus all crooks know that you can't fit much loot into a Prius

Personally, I'm just glad that FPD is quick when they need to be. When serious things occur, such as missing kids, escaped parolees, driver hitting a bicyclist, etc., it is my experience that they are promptly on the spot and promptly handle the situation! If they have to miss a speeder or two, I can handle that (especially if it's me

Hmmm... I'm a liberal but I have a gun. Not sure what sign I'd put on my door. "Big Ol' Hypocrite" maybe?

But since I'm such a bleeding heart, I'd probably toss the dude an aspirin. We lefties hate to see people suffer, you know.
ps: I actually like the sound of helicopters - I have no reason not to. On the other hand, I had a friend who was bartender in Santa Cruz (the Poet and the Patriot) where a lot of the regulars were Vietnam vets. Right after the earthquake in '89 we had tons of helicopter traffic in Santa Cruz (since 17 and 1 were basically unusable), including Marine Corps One when Bush Sr. came to visit. She told me it was a really hard time for the vets, because the sound was bringing back some pretty bad memories for them. Sad.
