Long time forum reader, what an interesting first post....

Anyway, we awoke this morning to find that someone had hit one of our brick pilasters in the front of our home on Foxridge Drive (North of the river, off Oak Avenue Parkway) and completely destroyed it.

The people, of course, ran (I'm guessing DUI situation). It was a bad hit (see the pictures), and it was definitely a Toyota truck..most likely late model.

Our neighbors said they heard it around 12:30am and immediately saw a red hatchback driving up and down Foxridge Drive and than possibly heard a tow truck shortly thereafter.

If you see a Toyota truck that is badly damaged on the drivers side (and missing lots of front pieces) and/or know of anyone who has information, please let me know. We have an open report with FPD.

Thanks fellow Folsomites :)

Zach

That stinks. Good luck finding the responsible party.

Have you tried calling local towing companies? I hope you find out who did this.

Thanks guys.

We pulled a part number from the bumper, and we now know we are looking for a 2001 or 2002 4 runner:

Anyone have any leads?

Can I give you a suggestion?

Ask the local bars if they have cameras (I'm sure they all do) and check the parking lots at the bars. Cant be too time consuming since you know what day it happened.

Also ask neighbors if they have cameras ...

No. That is the newer gen. 4runner. I believe if you look at the 96-02 4runners they are what you would be looking for.

Hey Supermom...that's the exact bumper! Clearly I had the wrong return on the part number I searched for.

To be clear, I have no knowledge of the color of the vehicle. We can't find any paint transfer.

Called up about 10 local tow companies, nothing so far.

BUT, on hold right now with a local collision center that might have something...FINGERS CROSSED.

Yep, that's the bumper for sure. It's in my garage ;)

Did you report this to the police? I would have thought they would have taken the bumper....
Have you gotten an assessment on the property damage, yet?

I would be tempted, If it were me, to put an ad in the paper for a squealer.

small reward for knowledge of vehicle and person driving....

I hope you find this person. They should take responsibility. Even if it wasn't a DUI. ( maybe they were texting or putting a cd in the stereo, or swerved to avoid a turkey)....

Anyway...if I see a car like that with front end damage- I will let you know.

they're probably trying to get it fixed before mom and dad get home from vacation!

Report filed, I'm now going repair shop to repair shop (over the phone) to see if I can find anything.
