Two Folsom residents have been arrested in connection with a bank robbery Monday afternoon in Roseville.

Officers responded at 12:59 p.m. to a robbery that had just occurred at the Bank of America in Roseville Square.

A man armed with a butcher knife approached a clerk and presented a note demanding money, according to a Roseville Police Department news release. The clerk gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, and he left the bank. No injuries were reported.

Witnesses described the robber and an unshaven white male with a blond goatee, wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt and dark shorts.

A few minutes later, a Roseville officer spotted a man matching the suspect's description at a gas station at the corner of Douglas and Sierra College boulevards. They took him and a suspected accomplice into custody without incident.

Cody Taylor Oldach (left photo), 22, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy. He is being held in Placer County Jail in lieu of $85,000 bail.

Also arrested on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy was Alexandra Lauren Holkko (right photo), 18. Authorities said she is suspected of driving the getaway car. Holkko has since been released on a $50,000 bail bond.

They might have thought they had to go out of town after our banks had been robbed lately.

Wow! I had Cody in my first grade class years ago. I had heard he had fallen down the wrong path with drugs and alcohol.

The real reason these two did not get away, was that they robbed a B Of A.

Way better security systems in place. They track you for half a block in any direction.

They have very firm standards. They are only ones allowed to steal.

Some may recall back in the early 90's the Bof A was robbed here in Folsom while a Chamber of Commerce Mixer was being held AND the Folsom Chief of Police was in attendance!

Since Bank robberies in town were very rare back then ( It was harder for transients to get into town to rob banks then), poor Hal got plenty of grief over this!

I gotta think any robber who just takes a knife to a robbery is probably not smart enough to stay free long

Or who has to stop for gas immediately after.

Or who has to stop for gas immediately after.

With the price of gas, maybe that's why they needed to rob the bank.

Heard in the car:
Alexandra - Crap. I'm on big E
Cody - Pull over. I have an idea. Uh, I wish I hadn't taken so many drugs.

her photo was pretty rough. my guess is she's using meth. which means he probably is too. why do people even start taking it in the first place? it is such an unglamorous drug.

Are you saying it's OK to use drugs, but people should use the "glamorous" ones? I don't want to misunderstand what you are saying, but it seems you are saying it's OK to use certain drugs.

Description sounds eerily similar to last week's Folsom WFB robbery.
"Sometimes on purpose and sometimes by accident, teachers' unions have a long history of working against the interests of children in the name of job security for adults. And Democrats in particular have a history of facilitating this obstructionism in exchange for campaign donations and votes." . . .Amanda Ripley re "Waiting for Superman" movie.

I don't think she's saying that. I think she doesn't understand why one would start taking it in the first place because it so screws everyone up and takes a heavy physical toll. Losing teeth, pocked face, etc.
