I've been working out at a local (EDH) training facility since April. I've made significant increases in strength since then, have lost 25 lbs so far and have had significant relief of chronic back pain. I recently graduated to the advanced adult program. Tonight, was back night, and I found out on monday that pull ups were on the schedule. I don't think I've ever done a pull up. I can't remember. I've been sweating it. At my gym, one does not say "I can't do it." That is highly frowned upon. Thankfully, the trainers are really supportive and they help you do it.

Us beginners get to do band pull ups. Here's an example:

The difference is that we put our foot in the band, not our knee.

And....here's the good news! Not only did I do ONE pull up, but I actually did a total of 36 band pull ups!!! Unbelievable!!!!! :2thumbsup:
The goal was to do 3x max, so I did 3 sets with a 40 second break between each set for each consecutive set. I did 10 (1st set), 8 (2nd set) & 8 (3rd set). What an incredible confidence booster!!! I didn't think I could do a single one.

My trainers & my gym is awesome!!! :2thumbsup:

Edit: I must've been delirous last night & couldn't count. I actually did 26. Still far exceeding my expectations!!

Ok....I'm wondering, how many pull ups can you do?
