Are you Prepared for an Emergency?
Frequently, Folsom Police Officers find themselves desperate to contact a victim's closest relative during an emergency. Would you want your family or friend's incapable to assist you in time of need? Prepare yourself, it's simple.

ON YOUR CELLPHONE: Create a contact name ICE (In Case of Emergency) with the number(s) you would want safety personnel to contact in case of an emergency.

AT HOME: Use a clear glass jar labeled "ICE" containing family member's contact information and your medical information so safety personnel can assist you and contact your family.

It happens more then you may expect, so take 5 minutes and prepare yourself and your loved ones.

Where exactly are we supposed to put the glass jar? Is that in case of a fire?

The cellphone ICE is a good idea, but most phones nowadays are locked with a code, and if you're incapacitated, there really isn't any way to get into your contacts. Also, every fire station in the city has the 'Vial of Life' program items that consists of merely a large prescription bottle, a magnet, and a form for filling out all pertinent information in case of an emergency.

Simply fill out the paper, place the paper in the prescription bottle, and place the bottle into your refrigerator. Then place said magnet on the refrigerator. We'll know where to look.
