It appears the Pedestrian Master Plan is being updated and the city is looking for input in the form of a survey. It seems like road safety is a hot topic and we can make some real progress. Please fill it out!

Survey

Do you think when they put "safety" as a choice on the survey they meant personal safety or feeling safe walking next to traffic? I found that a little ambiguous.

I put down "my master's laziness" as to why I don't walk more. ;)

I did as well. I would take it as either and feel free to send additional comments via e-mail.

Thanks. I should do that. I filled it out from the perspective of I might take alternate streets or cross only at certain intersections or not walk at night because of no sidewalks because of the vehicle traffic as opposed to being afraid of walking because of crime or being mugged, which really isn't a concern to me in Folsom.

I also specifically mentioned the dangerous traffic surrounding our schools.

It's amazing that one block from FHS there are blocks without sidewalks.
