I'll start...Take the kids/dog/tennis ball, nerf football to Folsom Lake-pack snacks, let them go crazy..Bake a cake...Plant flowers...Send the kids to the neighbors to get donations for the Folsom Foodbank....Clear out clothes that dont fit, home decor that we are done with, take to Snowline..Trim up yard...Take myself and daughter to get a 5.00 fingernail color change at a salon...

What a great list, giasmom.
I like to do a craft (there's tons of fall ideas on pinterest). I like ones that involve natural items, nothing plastic.
I take extras from my garden to the Folsom Zoo or check out their wish list and try and bring a few items.
I try a new recipe.

My wife and I play a lot of Scrabble on the big board.
She is better than I am but I still try to give her a
good game and do beat her at times.
OH, YES. I also have around 22 bird feeders in my small
back yard. Keeping them full and counting the birds during
the annual bird count (this year) from November 10, 2012 to April 5, 2013 will be keeping me busy. I do the bird count for The Cornell Lab of Ornithology every year. It helps them with
migration patterns. My wife and I really enjoy this.

I only wish I had one

Put a message in a bottle and send it down American River at Folsom Dam.
Message shall read-
Gold found here!
<spray paint some small pebbles gold, and put them in the bottle for good luck>
you wont be bored long. All kinds of gold panners will show up

I go to free afternoon matinee at the Drive in movies or to the river to pick up the bottles with messages and painted rocks in them, that are floating by.

Geocaching is great for "bored days". You don't even need a GPS anymore to do it as most smart phones have apps now.

Go wine tasting in Amador County. If you haven't been in some time, there are some great wineries just 40 mins away.
