Apparently liberals rule this board and can have conservative members booted out. I'm surprised I'm still here!

Yes, of course that's the reason. I'm sure it's all the liberals' fault. Gag.

I'm sorry to see her go.

Considering some of the posts, I'm not surprised.

Slowly, ever so slowly......... There will be only far left and left of center folks here and they can bask in their "enlightenment" and ignore that the emperor has no clothes........... Kinda like our national press corps....... If Maxine is indeed gone then it is a great shame on this forum and those who worked with their PM's and spite to ban her............. Who's next, the Dude, Joe, me, FDNY.........? If you elect to hear only folks that agree with you then you do yourself a great disservice and seal your own fate. The so called "tolerant" ones have shown their true colors once again........ And why are we still over in "Open Topic" and not "Politics".......? Chris

I would be interested in the details (what was said, who complained, and what specific rules were broken). I have seen quite a bit of "bad " behavior by posters that went without consequence, and while I didn't always agree with Maxine's perspective, her posts generally contributed to the forums.

On the other hand, there are several posters that contribute little and often get personal that I find annoying, but I just pretty much ignore them. Of course, I will give what I get. If you have a thoughtful critique or analysis, awesome. If you attempt to run smack, I'm fine with that too. I would certainly never let some forumboy send me running to the mods because they "offended" me with limp smack or dared to challenge my worldview.

But that's just me...

I don't think her posts add value to this forum.

To further clarify, the politics discussion is alienating many, many, MANY people from posting here. I love discussion, but many regulars aren't here anymore because of political rants. It's not why I created this site, and yes, we kick people out when they become a problem. Sometimes without warning. It can be flippant, yes, but I frankly don't have time to play the moderating game and watch people push the envelope.

So CW's opinions on things are just fine and Maxines are not..............? I see no difference but one is on the left and the other on the right.... How come one is gone and the other is not....? Oh well, fighting the uphill fight always when you are just to the right of center............. Anybody know how to delete your profile here.......? I think I'm gone. You libs win. All yours. Enjoy the next four years of government and taxation. Think it is bad in 2013, just wait until 2014. Chris

You're the boss, and you have to do what you think best for the site.

Still, it baffles me that people stop posting because they don't like the politics section. Especially when no one is forcing them to go there. There is even a handy-dandy filter.

That's like saying, "I don't like what's on this cable channel, so I refuse to watch tv"

Just call me perplexed.

John - Is it time to take the politics section back out of the search? Those of us who enjoy that section can go there and participate, but those who don't won't be bothered with that content.
