Does anyone have a referral for an orthodontist in Folsom? My 12 year old son needs braces and I have only heard of one in El Dorado Hills. Apparently, the ones near me in Folsom just do Invisilign?
Orthodonist Referral Or Recommendation?

While not in Folsom, I highly recommend Dr. Hendrik Blom on Madison Avenue in Citrus Heights. Both of our children went to Dr, Blom and we were very happy with his services. It looks like he's expanded, because theres another doctor in his practice now. If you inquire, please tell him Deb Boogaard referred you. http://www.delurgioandblom.com/

My son went to Dr. Kelleher. His treatment didn't require full braces, but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing other kids there with the traditional wire/bracket braces. I liked that Dr. Kelleher talked us through the treatment choices and didn't automatically push the most extensive/expensive one. His staff is very nice.

We went to Dr. Killmer. He sold his practice an is in the process of 'retiring'. Not too happy with the new guys. We'll go elsewhere for phase II.

I can 2nd Deb's recommendation for Dr. Kelleher in Folsom or Dr. Datwyler in EDH. My 15yr old son well as I have braces for the past year. We interviewed several from Shingle Springs, two in Folsom and two in EDH. We looked at what the Orthodontist recommended to straighten our teeth and drop a canine tooth, cost, type of braces, staff and location.
We chose Dr. Datwyler and he and his staff are great. He uses a newer brand of braces called Damian System braces. They require less maintanence, less visits, have little "gates" that close and hold the wire in place.

Dr. Tim Lyons in EDH is fantastic. Depending on where you live in Folsom, he's really close (in the EDH Town Center). I got braces as an adult and both of my sons go to him. His staff is amazing and he is definitely using the latest tech. My younger son had traditional braces and my older is getting invisalign. His office does both.
