The beer garden is dead, long live Pete's.

Just opened this weekend to fill the gap of too few Pizza places around. Pete's has pretty good food though, be interesting to see how they do.

Finally, a pizza place in town! We're getting closer to one pizza joint/resident.

Pete's has 2 types of shops; the pizza joints and the restaurant/brewhouse. This is the latter. Although they have pizza on the menu, it is on the 4th page, after apps, sandwiches, burgers, pastas and salads. The emphasize the other stuff.

I went the other night. Looks nice. People nice. Food decent.

Only issue was flat soda and tonic water, which the bartender should have noticed, but other than that, not a bad experience.

They have front and back patios and are going to have live music on weekends.

Love the one in EDHS. They have a great BBQ chicken salad. Actually, everything I have tried at Pete's has been good. I look forward to the outside patio and live music during the summer. Let's hope it stay open until then! I'll be checking it out this weekend I think.

Pete's is a high quality company. If they moved in, they will be there for a long time. My guess it is like the Granite Bay Quarry, where they got a great price on the property which gives them time to get settled in and grow.

That location sucks, nothing seems to last long there except Hoshall's and McDonalds. And that McDonalds sucks!

Pete's Restaurant & Brewhouse in Folsom is going to struggle. Merely an opinion.

Why do you say that? Are you a former tenant at that location?

Had lunch there on Thursday and really enjoyed it. I had never visited when it was the Beer Garden, so I can't compare, but thought that the ambiance was good (especially the back deck for summertime). They've only been open for a week, so they're still ironing out some things, but overall, the staff was very attentive and accommodating and I thought the menu offerings were good. I tried the small all meat pizza and ordered it with thin crust/extra crispy and thought it was very good (it reheated well in the oven at home, too). Husband had the pastrami sandwich and said it was very good, too. My only criticism was that it seemed to take an inordinate amount of time for the food to come out of the kitchen, considering that it was only 11:30 a.m. and only about three or four tables were occupied. But, all in all, I thought it was worth the wait and hope that they do well at that location.

I liked it. Pizza and beer was good. Staff was so eager to please it almost grated - but not quite. I'll be back.

I drove my 81 year old mom around town to doc's appointments today and I insisted on taking her to Pete's for lunch.  She loved it and Insisted on pizza and salad and I made sure they didn't serve us iced tea or anything less than two glasses of house chardonnay to compliment the meal.  She wants to make sure all of her line-dancing friends get down there sometime soon.  Gotta love MOM.....:-)   She'll outlive ME, no doubt.
