Ok - I had ANOTHER laptop DIE a BLACK death - ( Not the dreaded Blue Screen- just NOTHING)
I got a low end $450 Lenovo lap top and the free included Virus program will end in a few days.
Is Avasti still the best free antivirus ?
What about a Malware program ?
Any other recomendations to add ?

Microsoft Security Essentials (free) for AV. Better than and not bloated like Norton or McAfee.
AVG and Kasperky AV/Antimalware is highly rated as well and often on discount from Fry's
Malwarebytes or Spybot are good anti malware tools although i have heard others prefer others
