There was a Bittern on the Humbug Creek Trail today. The bird was making the sound, "oonk-a-lunk".

thanks for sharing! I love to see the different birds while out walking, although I have no idea what the names are. I had no clue what this post was about until I opened it... glad I did!

If you hear something along the marsh that sounds like a toilet plunger uncloging a sink.....this bird is the source!
