Check this out..

If you’ve never heard of ‘Pardo’s Push’……..you need to see this. If you have seen this before, it’s worth watching again. This is exemplary thinking, action, selflessness, and guts in the face of combat. We are losing this type of thinking and behavior in our society today………..

A VETERAN Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life". That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it. -Author unknown-

So cool....!   I remember back in the day playing football with my best friend Lee and his uncle in his yard...........    Late 60's or early 70's  I think.........   His uncle, looked like a giant to me, so cool, a great guy.......  A total stud in his uniform.   I remember wanting to be like him when I grew up.   He played with us for hours and payed attention to us.   Such a great guy.   A few weeks later my friend Lee is crying when I went over his house to play.   He said his uncle got "shot down" over Vietnam.  His uncle was a back seater in an F4.   He came back several years later and I remember seeing him come off the plane at Travis AFB on the TV after the war was over, 1975 I think.   He came back, thank God.   He got treated very badly since he was an "Asian" and in service of the "Americans"   He just happened to be of Japanese decent and from Hawaii.   American as you and me and anybody born here in this great country.   The VC thought otherwise and made him pay for the Japanese occupation in WW2 of Vietnam......     Chris
