i drove passed and it looked like someone got ran over while riding their bike. i saw someone being taken away in the stretcher. looks scary.

I saw the same scene.  The bike was halfway under the front of the car -- it didn't look good.  The police were talking to an older woman on the adjacent grass strip. 

 

However, it did not seem like the ambulance left with its siren on.  This makes me think that the injuries were not severe or life-threatening.  Hopefully that's the case...
