Over the last 2 weeks I have experienced intermittent internet disconnection. I'm pretty well versed in network technology and have done a lot of troubleshooting on my own to isolate the cause of the problem to Comcast service. After reading a Comcast user forum, several people have recommended checking with neighbors using Comcast Internet to find out if others are experiencing the same thing.
If you live in California Hills or The Enclave and subscribe to Comcast Internet Service, I'm interested to know if you are experiencing the same problem. Basically my internet access drops out frequently throughout the day, sometimes for a couple of minutes, other times longer, but it is so frequent that I cannot rely on it to provide email or browsing ability.
The only temporary solution has been to reboot my Comcast modem. That seems to fix the problem for a day or two and then the symptoms re-occur. I suspect that the neighborhood Comcast switch is getting overloaded, but until others confirm the same problem I have little evidence to drive an investigation by Comcast.
