I found out my longtime doctor, Dr. William Jornlin, has left UCD and I am devastated. He is practicing in an Auburn clinic for the disadvantage and I don't qualify. I've spent over an hour reading ALL POSITIVE ratings and boy he is missed by more than just me. He truly cared about his patients and I loved that we shared our faith in Jesus together. Does anyone know of a great Christian doctor in the Sacramento area? I am willing to leave UCD and move to another provider.

I Need A New Doctor . . . I Have Ucd But I Am Open To Switching Provid

What exactly is a "Christian doctor"? Are you saying that if a fabulous doctor was Jewish or atheist, you wouldn't go to him/her?
Or, are you looking for someone who practices Christian medicine--like faith healing or Christian Scientist methods or something???

She means a great doctor who is a born again Christian. We all have our preferences.
Mac_convert, I think I will be able to help when I return from vacation, but I will PM the name to you.

I am not opposed to seeing a doctor who has another faith, but I have enjoyed having that commonality with my doctor. I looked up the doctor's name online and all of the comments I found have been absolutely positive. He pleased men and women alike for being a compassionate doctor.
The faith commonality helps in my case because most doctors can't believe a person 40+ hasn't had sex, doesn't drink alcohol or smoke. I had to see a specialist a few years ago and the doctor asked my parent to leave the room to re-ask me the questions incase I wanted to change my answer.

Well, if you find any doctor who is willing to really talk to you, as it seems your longtime doctor was, that's a keeper. Most of them just breeze in and out in 10 minutes, know nothing about you, and spend most of their time typing, typing, typing on the computer in the room.
Good for you for living a principled life. It is sad that there does seem to be an assumption that everyone starts having sex and partying in their young teens... seems like society is just embracing this as normal. The doctors are pushing that Gardisal HPV vaccine now to girls 12 and up on the assumption they are, or will shortly be, sexually active... they look skeptical when you tell them you're pretty sure your daughter can wait a few years.

They look skeptical because it is a scientific fact that:
The # of parents who are pretty sure their daughters can wait
>
The number of daughters that do wait

Your response is inappropriate to the discussion thread OP. A person looking for a doctor of a principled form is desiring doctors ( few and far between) who practice great medicine and also practice faith based family solutions and assist in recognizing problem solving, mentoring, and emotional/faith support. There is absolutely nothing wrong with demanding a child live to the expectations of the family beliefs. Finding a doctor who supports those family beliefs- pushes family counseling in a specific direction under guidance of other like-minded professionals= giving the entire family faith based boundaries and relationships that allows for professional and wholesome and a well rounded healthy family. Such professionals are out there, and there is no reason why families shouldn't seek doctors who will encourage family based care.
