Well, the GOP took over the Senate.
First priority as they flex their new-found muscle: Pay off the their big contributors (banking lobby)

by removing the reforms put in place to prevent the economic disaster caused by the sale of

derivatives and other risky behaviors subsidized by the American Taxpayer.

If there was ever any doubt that the GOP is bought paid for by Big Business, this is the final proof.

"But perhaps even more outrageous to Democrats was that the language in the bill appeared to come directly from the pens of lobbyists at the nation’s biggest banks, aides said.
The provision was so important to the profits at those companies that J.P.Morgan's chief executive Jamie Dimon himself telephoned individual lawmakers to urge
     them to vote for it,
according to a person familiar with the effort."

That and they roll back environmental protections.

How come Geitner and all the other Goldman Sachs types in the Obummer White House are democrats.....?   Soros, Bloomberg, Jon Corzine, Tom Steyer, Pelosi, Feinstein, and Mr. Dimon are all million or billionaires......  And all democrats.   All the big bank heads are dems.........     Both the dems and the reps take in ex Wall Streeter's to run the fed and do their dirty work.......    This is all just for PR by the progressive left wing of the dems for headlines this week and next......  You don't really believe what you posted do you...?   If you do you must do some more homework TioVinny and find the truth.    Chris

Are you aware that James Dimon is a big Obama donor and that J.P. Morgan gives a lot of money to Democrats ? The idea that big business is pro-Republican is a bunch of crap,

No Homer, TioVinny is not aware but maybe he will read our posts above and start to think for himself a little bit.....?  I won't hold my breath.   Follow the money, always works..........

TioVinny is just doing what he has been told.  He's following the latest dem marching order-talking point offensive that Elizabeth Warren and Maxine Waters told all of the dem lemmings to repeat over and over again in the press and the forums until it is "True".........   And then the national left wing press will report back to us late this week as such just to re-enforce the lie.

Vin, are you aware that wall street contributed more to Dems then reps? Not much more, but then it doesn't have to be to disprove your assertion. See, wall street DOESN"T CARE who is in the White House. Dem, rep, makes no difference. As far as that goes, there is very little difference in the political parties themselves these days. Oh sure, they posture and spout talking points, but when the rubber meets the road, there is very little to distinguish them.

"Starting in early 2007, when Democrats took control of both houses of Congress, the financial world’s campaign contributions shifted decisively to favor the Democrats; it’s not uncommon for an industry’s contributions to favor the party in power. Through the financial crisis, Wall Street contributions to Republicans totaled more than those to Democrats just once, but the gap was never startling. In President Barack Obama’s first year in office, Wall Street sent Democrats $29.9 million, and Republicans $20.7 million."

Now that the pendulum is swinging the reps way, contributions are flowing in at a substantial rate. Same ol same ol.

You're forgetting that this is GOP inspired cave-in to the banks.

That and the new budget allows a massive increase in political donations. All this benefits the GOP overlords: The Banking industry.

This will be a fun 2 years.

Then Elizabeth Warren will be elected.

Doing nothing for immigration reform IS the same as amnesty. Now the GOP will be front and center in the debate. Let's see if they can come up with a plan.

(That is OTHER than recruiting from the NRA to shoot all the kids coming up from Nicaragua.)

So TioVinny you ignore the fact that the left has given more money to politics than the right in the last dozen years or so.....?    If the Republicans are so rich why is it that the left wing groups and the unions have given more in every election of late than the Republicans and big businesses......?    Maybe is it that the left wing press reports only some of the facts and not all depending on how the real truth supports dems or not.........?   Could it be....?   No, they would not do that for sure..........    I wish......   Chris
