Yes, I saw that. It just underscores how unhinged left-leaning people are. When they don't get their way, their psychopathic urges take over. They hide behind the veil of *understanding and open-mindedness*, but they are frauds and they will do ANYTHING TO WIN, including murder if they could get away with it.

No matter what, conservative, small government libertarians are screwed.  Hillary has sewn up the nomination due to purchasing superdelegates. The dems will never allow a senile socialist to be the face of their party.  Hillary is a horrible candidate, but has help with the media backing her.

 

As to the reps. What a mess they are. And they deserve every bit of the collapse of their party. Unfortunately, it is we who pay most for their ineptitude.

 

Scenario 1:Trump is the nominee. Liberal on most issues, he will not champion the causes of freedom and limited government. He has already hinted at putting the free press on notice and believes in eminent domain as a good thing.  He is a bully and a blowhard that promises much to a populace sick of the establishment. he will not deliver. Most worrisome would be his pick for SCOTUS. Easy fodder for Hillary as he writes her commercials every time he speaks.

 

Scenario 2: Cruz wins the nomination. While he is socially conservative, I'm not sure he is interested in limiting government in anything except 2nd amendment incursions. He has many enemies in his own party. I'm not sure how he gets anything done in office fighting both parties. Internationally, he would fare better. Would stand a decent chance against Hillary, but his speech patterns and look don't inspire confidence.

 

Scenario 3:  Rubio wins the nod. Not a conservative by any means. A good speaker I guess. Too "slicky boy" for me. Would stand a decent chance against Hillary, but his immigration past dooms him with Reps.

 

Kasich often seemed like the only adult in the room.

 

Once again, the reps have taken what should have been a slam dunk and turned it into a fight for relevance. They deserve to have their party die a quick agonizing death. Unfortunately, that will leave a void that the dems will adroitly step into. Lord help us all...

Silly to support someone because others don't like him. Trump will (right or wrong) destroy the republican party. It's their own fault for 2 decades of ignoring their principals, but it leaves us fiscal conservatives with no where to turn. Sucks for us I guess, but moreso, sucks for America. Trump is not the answer.

If you let your ideology affect your opinion of Trump, then you will help Hillary Clinton. Please keep your eye on the ball. Trump isn't perfect, but he's a hell of a lot better than the highly corrupt and dishonest Clinton Crime Family.

Don't forget that. And Trump *may be* the answer. We don't know that yet, do we?? We've all been wrong before, right?? It's worth a try, given what the alternative is.

I don't let ideology affect my opinion of Trump. The facts are plain to see.  He is a horrible candidate. Unelectable? Perhaps. Damaging to the conservative movement? Most certainly. He is definitely not one who is coherent with my limited government and originalist ideology. Would I vote for him over Hillary? Of course. But I would be rolling my eyes and holding my nose at the same time. How much farther would America's prestige worldwide fall going from joke of a President to jackass of a President. HArd to fall farther than rock bottom I guess...

Except the zaniness might not be so zany. When Trump threatened to kill terrorists' families, a former general predicted that we would see American troops refuse to carry out the orders of the commander-in-chief, since it would constitute a war crime.

God knows what other ideas Trump might spout.

You make a few assumptions in that paragraph.

It's time to focus on WINNING!! That's what Dems do...they aren't chained to any particular ideology, other than *bogus climate change*, promising freebies, and race-pandering, so why should we be constrained by one? I'm serious. That's what's killing us right now. Your idealism is admirable, but it's not a winning strategy and it's passe. Fiscal Conservatism, gone. Limited govt, gone. Originalist ideology, gone. Social issues, forget it. Too much emphasis on God and religion, forget it. In the big picture, many people on our side don't overly fret about these topics...they just want to slap-down Liberalism and the "Progressive loons" and win. And that's fine with me, because if you slap-down the "Progressives" (cute word, huh?) and their clownish, immature, and childish ideas, the issues that are important will take care of themselves.

Only Trump (and maybe Cruz) has the guts to go scorched-earth on this corrupt Clinton broad and drag her name (and Bill's past) thru the mud. It will be easy to do, and it will be a beautiful thing to watch. And the Trump army will grow even larger.

Time to "get with the program". WINNING AT ALL COSTS is the new normal, especially when it means keeping radical far-left Liberal Socialists (and wannabe dictators) like that corrupt liar and race-panderer Hillary out of the Oval Office. We are at war with her and the modern, weird, race-obsessed, and divisive Democrat party. Time to hammer them hard. They deserve it.

When Trump wins, power will return to the people. THAT'S why the establishment hacks and the media are freaking out.

Liking Kasich more and more. He really does seem like the only adult on stage. the others bicker and fight like spoiled children. He was certainly the only one that seemed Presidential in demeanor. On my scorecard, he was the clear winner in tonight's "debate."  Big picture, I was embarrassed for Trump, Cruz and Rubio several times because of their behavior.

 

Trump had a lackluster performance, but it probably won't hurt him. Rubio also had a lackluster performance. but he had a few good moments. Overall, not much better than good. Cruz had a good night, but I don't think he won over anyone not already on board.

 

Trump will not bring power to the people. Nor will any other candidate. That is called pandering when a candidate says that is what they will do.

 

The establishment goading Romney into his speech this morning was a foolish and hamhanded attempt to discredit Trump. Who was that for? It reeked of desperation and will do far more damage to the Reps than good.  I am coming to the conclusion that the leadership/big money donors for both parties are so insulated as to be functional idiots.
