Any recommendations for someone that does dry rot repair? We noticed that some of the wood trim near our gutters appears to have dry rot damage and I would like to get it repaired before it starts raining again.

every contractor I know is swamped right now. I can't even get my own projects completed.

If it's just trim, a handyman might be a good bet.
Otherwise, check with a pest/termite company. They will check for and sometimes find damage you were unaware of. North American Home Services at 800 732 2847 and Bouey at 916 733 0520 are both well-known local companies.

Try Ray Thomas - 530-470-3342. He did some work on a neighbor's house and they were very pleased with the quality and price.

Try to avoid termite companies. they tend to be extremely high priced for the carpentry work they do.

Yes, I agree that termite companies are extremely high priced, but there are some companies who provide cost effective services. If you want, you may hire your local pest control company who will help you to keep termites away for years and enables you to have the peace of mind you need. Like, last week my friend was dealing with the same issue, then immediately he had called up his local Pest Control Westport CT service where the professionals eliminated the termites provided with best advice on how to take care of the wood for longer period of time.
