Is there anyone out there who would like to get rid of any moving boxes (preferably in good shape) you may have laying around?

Be very careful when using other peoples' boxes.
Critters can come along for the ride.
Sometimes it's better to buy them.
If you do use someone else's, make sure you examine them carefully.

Yea Steve, I was thinking about that after I wrote it. I had a neighbor try to give me boxes that were a mess (dirty, spider eggs, silverfish and earwigs all through them). I kindly declined the offer.

If you are using a moving company, they will sometimes have used boxes that you can get fairly cheap. We have done that.

Red Dog Shred on Folsom-Auburn sometimes has a pile of free boxes. They are banker box size and you run the risk of icky-ness as Steve pointed out.
