Mays - I normally don't see the posting from this gentleman as he's on ignore.  I did see it in your response to him however.  I don't know if you watched the video but it shows how micro drones will make guns completely ineffective as a defensive tool.  It's really interesting.   

 

The NRA will have to change their tag-line about good guys stopping bad guys.  There is no way a good guy with a gun will stop a bad guy with a micro drone.

Just the evolution of things. I can see drone free zones, EM guns/barriers, micro netting,  heck, even a shotgun would work on these. I don't think many criminals are going to be getting their hands on these anyway. Terrorist...maybe.

Joe -  I've been researching for an article for a client on the use of drones in forest and wildlife management.  In the research, I've come across some very interesting stuff.  Our friends over at Intel are pioneering work with drone swarms.  Big swarms.  They just did a swarm for this week's TIME Magazine cover - 1250 drones.  Really cool.  

 

There are a number of drone free zones all over the place, but as the gun lobby likes to point out, criminals don't obey the laws.  And jamming drone radio signals has another problem.  They also jam cell phone signals.  

 

Don't think criminals are going to use these?  Think about it.  If a twelve year old kid can buy a micro drone on Amazon for $25 and learn to fly it around in a couple hours, you can bet that criminals are looking at them.   Criminals are already using these to fly drugs, phones, and guns into prisons. 

 

It's the wild west up in the sky right now.

Well I don't see any posts by Who_dem since I block him just like he blocked me, don't wanna see a contrary opinion, then well, we won't share contrary opinions, no time of day for a liberal elitist on my part.  Actually he never could keep up with me in the science department so he collected his liberal-progressive-climate change marbles and went home.........  Crying I think.....!   Kicking that "climate change" and "global warming" can down the road in anger..........!   Anyway, I assure you Who_dem, my multiple handguns and rifles that I have been trained on and trained myself on over the last 40+ years on say you are full of it......!   I can hit a small steel target, in a cross wind, at 500 meters more often than not with a rifle that I have which is 100 years old, a WW1 rifle, a 1903 Springfield, iron sights, and my close to 60 year old eyes.....  I can also do that with my M1-A with a scope, and I can actually pick what part of the target I want to hit.......   And handguns, not as good as rifles but put a 1911 in my hand and I assure you that any four home invasion robbers will meet their maker sooner than they would they would like to do so, wrong house brother.........!   Anyway, great to not see your dribble of an opinion on guns and gun control, which means total confiscation of guns in the USA to you and the rest of the progressives here........   Not worth my time...........  And not gonna happen, never...!

The examples are numerous.  He's an angry malcontent.  I don't care that he "blocked" me (which is a lie).. that just means I can slam his stupid ideas for our normal-minded viewers here to read, and then he can't respond. Perfect!! He boxed himself into a corner.. typical dumb Lib? But what's really funny is that he hasn't blocked AverageJoe.. and it was Joe a couple months ago who called Who-Lib a "pompous blowhard" !! Hilarious. You just can't make this stuff up!

Thanks Brother Aces........!   Yes, Tio Vinny does not know what he does not know.....  Was just up in Oregon this past few days.......   Saw a sign in Eastern Oregon "Beer, Wine, Spirits, Guns, Ammo"............   OMG, now that is America....!   If I was an Oregonian I am sure I could have walked in, purchased a shotgun, a 38 special, and an AR-15, instant NICS check, walked out the door in 15 minutes or less...........!  Oh, a free state for sure, at least in the East of Oregon.  Portland, well they are far left of Berkeley and SF for sure........   So many homeless and druggies it was amazing, almost got into three fights with Meth Head Turds jaywalking and threatening me in my car at intersections....  And my wife and daughter in the car too...!    How cool was that...!   I stayed cool and broke no heads......    So weird, you have to tread lightly in Portland and watch for the homeless meth heads stepping in front of your car doing 30 mph in the middle of the street.........   Radical Leftism breeds so many problems and is a magnet for more problems.......  Folks, just visit Portland and see the American Liberal Dream....!   This is what Pelosi and the democrats think how you should live.   No thanks...!   It really sucks, drugs, homeless everywhere, crime in spades, used needles everywhere, was a shooting at a bar while I was there, broken down RV's, dozens of tents under overpasses, in the bushes, all tolerated by city government, litter, dirt, poop, stray dogs everywhere, broken bottles everywhere, and the great unwashed at every corner asking you for money, with their cardboard sign...........    Oh, and everyone of them a chainsmoker.........   Very sad........   Tio Vinny, when was your last trip to Portland....?  Maybe you should take a ride, only 10 hours drive......   Or maybe Seattle, same deal, but just about 14 hours drive......   Check it out.  Are those two cities run just like you want to run the country....?   If so, I do not agree, not at all.   Chris

Just wondering if 2A folks have figured out that keeping firearms to protect themselves from government tyranny is a horribly obsolete idea.  A gun is useless to protect from micro drone swarms.  Wonder if the NRA is hoping their minions aren't bright enough to figure it out?
