The 4th of July is fast approaching, and that's when Folsom comes alive with family events, patriotism, and of course, the Folsom Pro Rodeo.
The signs, and flags are all over town, including the Johnny Cash Bridge.
First up is the Historic District's HomeTown Parade.
Saturday, June 29, Located on Sutter Street from Scott St. to Reading St. Come on out for some good old fashioned fun with this hometown parade. Ride here early on Light Rail (Free from any station from 7am-1pm) and enjoy a pancake breakfast fundraiser put on by the Rotary of Historic Folsom from 7:30am-9:30am at the amphitheater stage behind 200 Wool St. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a fun time with 50 local, fun entries in the parade. Set up those lawn chairs and show some Folsom Pride!
The parade starts at 930am and should last about an hour. Stick around for the festivities afterward.

On Wednesday, July 3rd, put yer boots on, grab yer hat, and head down the rodeo park for the first ever Tito's Tailgater!
The fun starts at 7pm, and features 4 country bands, specialty drinks and dancing fun. Tickets are only $20, plus you can get $10 off rodeo reserved tickets (as available). Get your tickets HERE!
July 4 through 6 is the 59th annual Folsom Pro Rodeo. Featuring 3 nights of family fun, the rodeo includes:
- Demonstrations traditional cowboy skills
- The Painted Ladies Drill Team
- Rodeo Clown Matt Merritt
- The Flying Cowboys motocross stunt daredevils
- Nightly Fireworks
- The Saloon Under the Stars, with live music
