Hottest July on record for the US, World.
And Trump just fiddles while the world burns.

July: The Hottest Month

https://www.theatlan...t-month/595180/

While July is the warmest month of any year in the Northern Hemisphere, this month—July 2019—is shaping up to be the hottest month ever recorded. All-time temperature records are being broken across North America and Europe. More wildfires than normal are raging across Russia, burning more than 7 million acres so far. Heat waves are affecting many parts of the Arctic and Greenland’s ice sheet, creating one of the “greatest melting events ever recorded.” While people and animals are still finding ways to enjoy the warm weather, they are also working to cope with the extremes.

The so-call pee-Resident fiddles while the earth burns up.   :gobble:    :noyoudint:

Before and after pictures show Greenland's rapid ice melt from space

https://www.euronews...melt-from-space

Greenland Lost 12.5 Billion Tons of Ice in a Single Day
The amount of ice collectively lost last Wednesday and Thursday would be enough to cover Florida in almost five inches of water

Yawn. More chicken little.  BTW, that is 12 POINT 5 billion tons, not 125. The Greenland ice sheet is about 9% of the worlds ice. Antarctica has 90% According to NASA,

"A new NASA study says that an increase in Antarctic snow accumulation that began 10,000 years ago is currently adding enough ice to the continent to outweigh the increased losses from its thinning glaciers.

Antarctica has about 27 million billion tons of ice. Assuming no gain in Greenland's ice during the winter (impossible), and the same "record breaking loss EVERY DAY of EVERY summer, it would take about 40000 years to melt the amount of antarctic ice. Which COULD happen theoretically. (See Milankovicth cycles). However, history shows that another ice age is FAR more likely in that time frame.

Still...that fact doesn't sell papers or convince people that we need a world government...

Double yawn.

Good catch on the decimal error.

But still, your argument is like saying the first stages of cancer won't affect your couch for another 6 months.

It's no consolation!

So I did some further research. You can rest easy at night. The TOTAL ice loss from Greenland over tthe last46 years is 103 billion tons. It has a total mass of 250000 billion tons. Put graphically, the total ice loss from Greenland since 1972 looks like this:

I just hope I'm still alive when the sea levels rise enough to cover half of Florida.

Then I'll track down all the climate deniers and rub their noses in it.

Sad that so many progressives fall for this AGW BS........!   And it is BS.....!    Total BS....!   Lots of books, papers, websites, scientists out there to read that will enlighten you but you choose to believe CNN and MSNBC and the "progressive" so called scientists around the globe.  Ever stop to wonder why the scientists who do not agree with the AGW hypothesis are shut out of the conferences, the meetings, the publications, the UN stuff, the US government, the EPA...?  They are never interviewed, their papers are not published.  Wonder why...?   Academia is controlled by leftists and they will not allow any opinion other than their own.  Sad, in this day and age real science is being censored by the liberal elite to further their political agenda.  Chris

Vin, Florida will be underwater not because of rising seas, but because of land subsidence which is > rising seas (nearly double).  GEOGRAPHY and foolish development are what will doom Florida, not some imaginary result of fossil fuels.

Wow! Massive global warming demonstrations. Organized mostly by a 13-year old girl.

Climate protests: Marches worldwide against global warming

https://www.bbc.com/.../world-49777279

Millions of people around the world held a global climate strike on Friday, inspired by activist Greta Thunberg.

Protesters across continents waved placards and chanted slogans in what could be the biggest ever demonstration over global warming caused by humans.

"Our house is on fire", Ms Thunberg said at a rally. "We will not just stand aside and watch."

Meanwhile, research shows most of the immigrants from Guatemala are fleeing because global warming is destroying their farms.

She is a useful idiot (and fraud). Yes, she sailed to make her point. How did she get home?  I'll take jet for 1000 Alex... I blame her parents for not being, well, parents, and letting her rule the house.  My kid tries to tell me to be vegan, I'm going to laugh, say, "You've got a good heart, but let me educate you"

You idiots whining about the impact of beef and lamenting the burning of rainforest realize that much of that burning is to grow crops like....soybean.  But, er um...squirrel!  Aint uopianism grand when you dont know which intersectional behavioral mandate takes precedence?  :P

She is a useful idiot (and fraud).

I guess you haven't heard her speak!            :wave2:
She articulates well and has solid arguments.

Quite stunning and lucid for a 16-year old.

AND, she speaks for many of the planet's population who are concerned about abuse of our environment.
