Yeah, well Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia and others are on the UN Human Rights Council and China, Cuba, Iraq and Rwanda just finished their terms soooo.... I guess the question is; Does anybody pay any attention to what that bunch of self important blow hards have to say?
By the way, WHO are those "experts" making those claims?
Interesting sidenote. You want to know how Human Rights Council members are elected? Not based on any performance criteria like, oh, I don't know, their record on human rights. Nope, they are "equitably" chosen....
On the basis of equitable geographical distribution, Council seats are allocated to the five regional groups as follows: African States, 13 seats; Asia-Pacific States, 13 seats; Eastern European States, 6 seats; Latin American and Caribbean States, 8 seats; and Western European and other States, 7 seats.
