Since this wonderful MyFolsom web site came along, a lot of us have used it for learning about some of our local issues.
For those of you who have not discovered a LIKE national web site with some great writers, take a look at Townhall.com It is great in the "printer friendly" version especially, and it can be e-mailed also to others. Try it if you haven't seen it!

Hey, I noticed a quick blurb about MyFolsom.Com in the Telegraph today... how come you guys don't link to articles in the Telegraph?

funny you say that... I just recently have been discussing this with their editor! 
I really enjoy the Telegraph, since it is written by residents of Folsom and is relatively unbiased. Unfortunately, their current website does not archive its articles... in the format they currently use, their files get updated weekly, meaning the links to their articles will change to unrelated links every week. Since MyFolsom.Com does have archives and residents can filter through past news stories dating back to April 2002, the links to these articles wouldn't work anymore.
But, that doesn't mean we don't like the Telegraph or we don't want to link to them... quite the contrary. The Telegraph is actually re-designing their site so that articles will be archived and up on the web indefinitely. Once this happens, we will most certainly be linking to these articles.
The main goal about MyFolsom.Com is to keep residents & visitors as informed as possible about what's going on in Folsom. Whether news comes from the Bee, BizJournal, Telegraph or somewhere else, we don't care... we just want to inform all of you. As a great cartoon once said, "It's great to learn, 'cause knowledge is power!"
So on that note... look for a new Telegraph website coming soon, as well as links to their articles as well!

This is great news!!! Hopefully, it will lead to being able to read the Telegraph EVERY day. From here (MyFolsom.com) to there (The Telegraph) would possibly connect in print to those who are not into computers/Internet. Great going John & Gloria!!!!
