I LOVE this weather. Warm and rain mixed.

Me too. Anyone catch the sunset tonight, totally dark, cloudy skies except on the horizon with the sun. Gorgeous.

The only one in our family who isn't completely enamored of thunder and lightening is my dog, Cinnamon. She's shaking and panting like crazy, poor girl.

Galileo, galileo...

I blame global warming. Which, of course, was caused by George Bush, the Bush daughters, and his little dog too.

My dog too - - always the family hero, ready to take on dogs three times his size, people with toolbelts, deisel trucks, and cops, but he cowers at the thunder.

And don't forget Kate Bush. I blame Kate Bush... pretty much for everything. I'm a Kate Bush basher.

I love this weather. There's just something peaceful about the pitter pat of raindrops and sitting by a crackling warm fire as the thunder sets off car alarms throughout the neighborhood. Ahhh yes.

I bet this is what cowboy days were like here in Folsom. smile.gif

I love it, and so does my pooch. Of course, she likes fireworks on the 4th, too. Nothing phases this one.

I'm enjoying the light show. Count the seconds between the thunder and lightning, divide by 5 and that's the approximate number of miles away the lightning strike is.

I like the cool feel, but not the rain and the clouds. The day will get shorter and darker. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Let's see, I counted one hit that was less than half a second between Lightning and Thunder.

0.5 seconds / 5 = TOO DAMN CLOSE! Actually it was fantastic, but my ears are still ringing. The air smells fresh and all the summer dust is getting washed away, couldn't ask for anything more.

Decided to take the digital camera outside and see if I could get some shots. A little grainy for the time-elapsed, but I'm happy:
