I believe they are still open for business. Not sure what the future holds for them but now we
know where he got the money to open up!
Yeah, that's one way to fund a new business I guess.
You need a manager for your store, GoodFellas? I've been thinking about starting my own place too!

and I think it's one of the biggest reasons many small businesses fail...
I had an employee steal some money from me....a "trusted" employee... never thought it could happen but it can....
she was a grandmother... active in the community... long time resident... went to high school at Bella Vista in the 60's... married for about 35 years...
You just never know... until you find out...
some poor black dude can run into a bank with a toy gun and maybe get away with 1500 bucks and get 5 - 10 in the Federal Pen... white collar crime...? they can steal thousands... thousands... and sometimes never go to jail...

Bank robberies are typically prosecuted under federal law (since banks are governed by Federal authority) thus you get Federal prison time. Embezzlement is typically prosecuted under state law (and therefore State Prison) unless it somehow involves interstate movement of the money.

Business crime threat is mostly from the inside. Why do you think all those kiasks in the mall and even Taco Bell, etc. have a sign saying "If you don't get a receipt your meal is free"? That's so the hourly employee can't easily 'ring' you up (no sale) and stick your cash in his/her pocket. The customers are now the eyes for the owners. A local McDonalds just had a girl at the drive through double charging credit/debit cards and pocketing the cash. You gotta keep an eye on your statement every month.
