Wow, is that list heterosexist or what? What if that "man's man" doesn't like beer?

He is clearly not a 'man's man' in the broader sense.

Simple. Switch to whiskey.

Remember the rhyme...

"Beer before liquor, never sicker. Liquor before beer, never fear."

Start with the whiskey

I'm just kidding, actually. I don't really know why any "real man" would give a crap what other people think of his drink of choice. Seems a bit like being worried whether other people think your shoes are manly enough or if your shirt is manly enough. It's the self-consciousness that's wimpy, as far as I'm concerned.

Not liking beer is not in a man's mans vocabulary.

Just picture, flapjacks, and lumberjacks.....

and do you get your bikini line waxed before you have your umbrella drink?

My my my. Someone is overcompensating today. Someone must have caught themselves taking an extra long gander in the locker room.

And the answer is yes. I do enjoy the soft warmth of the sun on my bare nether region. Not that it is any of your business. Unless you want to be my cabana boy and apply my sunscreen. wub.gif

Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel. Got it?

I can think of two really good "guy" mixed drinks:

My husband's current favorite: A Basil Kamikaze, which is equal parts Kettle One, triple sec, and lime juice served over bruised basil

and a Caipirinha, a dangerous Brazillian drink made with lemon and lime sliced muddled with some sugar to make a paste, topped with a few ice cubes and really good white rum poured right on top to the rim. This one is favorite of a male Cuban friend of mine. OK, he's gay, but very butch.

I know, that's why I put it at the end. It is a great drink though. Wicked as all get out as it's pretty much a tub full o' rum and just keeps getting tastier and tastier as the ice melts and the citrus paste dissolves. ahhh...

I saw a list on the KCRA website of alchoholic drinks men should never order:

1. Anything blended (unless on a beach)
2. Jello shots
3. Cosmopolitans
4. Anything that uses whipped cream
5. Anything that requires a straw.
6. Any "tini" other than a real martini made with either gin or vodka with vermouth.
7. Fruity malt beverages
8. White Zinfandel

I'd add these:
No wine coolers or wine spritzers
Anything with an umbrella (even on a beach)
No Tequila Sunrises or Harvey Wallbangers
No drinks with sexual names (Sex on the beach, Screaming Orgasm etc.)

What's wrong with Tequila Sunrise? This is prolly one of my fave cocktail drinks & I aint no pansy.
