Mccain's incontinent? That's one I actually haven't heard yet. Not that I care. Don't get me wrong, I agree it's not an issue. I mean, as we know, Woodrow Wilson was a huge bedwetter too (they called him "Wet Woody"), but he never let that stop him from beating the Hun!
If that's true about McCain, it definitely falls under the TMI category.
He also has a bionic eye and buys viagra in bulk at costco, but that's just what I read in the news....

Wow! You're a way more educated voter than me. You must listen to Michael Savage. As a political scientist he makes a very informed nutritionist.
That's cool about McCain's bionic eye! I'm sure some day they'll invent the bionic bladder for him too. I already knew about Obama's bionic leg. If it was me, I'd have them do both legs while they're at it. Otherwise all you can do is run around in circles really fast, right? Of course, neither would be the first bionic President. That would be Polk (left ear).

O.J. won the Heisman Trophy !!!

hahahah ok points for that one
but seriously.... shouldn't it be more important to see what issues and laws the candidates have voted on or supported versus failures?
like this... (from McCain's trip to the middle east)
The repeated "gaffe" confusing Shia and Sunni, labeling Purim as the Jewish "version of Halloween" and expected protests in France send a clear message about what America could expect from a McCain presidency.
John McCain has a history of less than desirable remarks in the foreign policy arena: Bomb, Bomb Iran, and generalizing Arabs as al Qaeda who just want to trade burkas for one way tickets, to name a few.
Clearly John McCain's failures in this trip were much more than an isolated set of mistakes. It spoke to the larger issue of John McCain's lack of foreign policy judgement.

Yep - that's why I edited my reply to Dav to remove my story about going to Costco and getting a free sample of what I thought were Flinstones vitamins.
Didn't seem appropriate.

Hey there TOOK-er...great that you wanna get engaged.
I think the best thing you can do is checkout the official websites of each of the candidates and pay close attention to what they say they plan to do if they get elected.
The problem with radio/TV/newspaper is that their prime goal is to make money (and profits) and at times the things that are said get tainted by the money angle. But no harm reading or listening all points of views...
And do not get bogged down by conservative and liberal labels...Abe Lincoln - the founder of the Republican party led the Civil War - and he actually reversed himself on slavery...he had assured the Souther states that he would not oppose slavery...but after winning the election, he wanted to abolish it. Similarly, in the recent past, the Democratic Party was the party of segregationists but, is now considered otherwise...whereas the Republican Party seems to have more people with racial biases.
The pendulum swings this way and that way...but, the principles still remain the same and true. So, form your your principles and then vote for someone who's closest to yours (you'll never find a complete 100% match).
As for Obama and McCain, the war in Iraq and terrorism are key issues facing our country, in my opinion. The oil prices, the economy, etc are the fallouts of the war.
A good number of people like myself think that the war on terror is being totally mismanaged at this time. McCain is promising to continue with the current policies whereas Obama is offering a drastically different policy. And I seem to think that Obama's policies will allow us to have a narrower focus on terrorism but it will have a broader positive impact on our national interests and economy.
But, you shouldn't have to take my word for it...google both the candidates, the key media bigwigs like Sean, Rush, etc... and see if you can make up your mind...and then offer to become a volunteer for the campaign of your choice even tho u can't vote.
