Okay everyone, typically we handle this via PM, but since Chris brought it up, here's the down-low:

Chris, I think in general you post a lot of good stuff here. However I think you also wear your pride on your sleeve and have a tendency to lose control of your emotions at times. I didn't ask you to leave but I did ask you to stop harassing people. I think it's a fair request. I've told many posters to "kick it down a notch" - some have, some have not. Those who did not are no longer here.

This goes for anyone - if anyone is harassing you via PM, please see me or steve and we will deal with the poster appropriately. Take the high road and do not respond - I do not ever want to see something escalate to a physical confrontation. We've never had an issue with anything like this and I hope we never will. However when I see something that concerns me I have to do something. This is beyond being a pain in the arse or calling names. Bullying will not be tolerated here. It's absolutely against the intention of this site.

Lastly, Jolene sums it up best - it's an internet forum... don't let a silly internet site raise your blood pressure. I know I may lose members this way but I didn't create this site to stress people out... just walk away if you have to, you won't be the first.

You know what though... thats a HUGE part of the problem. If I ran to you and "tattled" every time someone sent me a pm that would be considered "bullying or threatening" it would be a different story. I don't do that though. I respond back or ignore them. Then they go and make some $hit up and start telling you a bunch of lies.

Chris, I can't control what actions you decide to make. Whether you decide to tell me about people's rude/offensive/threatening comments is your decision. I've seen your comments in some threads, and we've PM'd back and forth where you've verified some comments you made via PM. I've seen how you fly off the handle sometimes and quite frankly it concerns me. I've cut you a lot of slack.

I'm not saying it's totally one sided - however I must respond to things I see that concern me.

All this DRAMA and palango is not involved. Lets just say that I have finally have seen the light and have toned it down bigtime for several reasons. First, because this was requested by John, Stevethedad, and other fair and open minded folks. Second, because I need to focus on IMPORTANT things in life family, health, and keeping food on the table (during these tough economic times). Third and most importantly, I have shifted my focus to a more academic/educational one where I do my very best to add VALUE to the conversation or ASK questions from the myfolsom.com members such as parenting or backyard advice.

So you can say that I have made some changes. Does that mean that I have somehow taken a miraculous pill and changed my political views? No way. does that mean that I am never ever going to have my emotions in check when someone attacks my culture, religion etc? maybe or maybe not.

Thus, the bottom line is that I am doing my best to bring some type of value and I am trying to extract some type of value. Lastly, I am very ashamed that at times, my addiction to the political forums came at the expense of spending time with my kids. What value did I gain???? zero.

I am writing this hoping that my "lessons learned" can be some type of hope for someone else. I am not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I am trying harder to add value.

Is there a way for moderaters to verify PM'd comments were actually sent as quoted to you? Just curious if it is an honor system or if you can actually see the naughty comments??

It would be a lot easier if I could verify. As much as people think I probably can, I cannot tap in to people's PM accounts to read their inbox. We get notified on threads, whichis easy to see but your PM's are private. This is why I ask people to forward me harassing messages.

see that's the thing.. the way it works is, we write something in a thread, and someone doesn't like it so we get PM'd with crap talking and we answer back... then the person tells the mods that we were mean in a PM to them.... YEP, if you do not like what I say, and PM me threats, or say S*** to me, I'll tell you off. But I do not go run to the mods and cry that you PM'd me.... cos then I just block you... Problem solved.

If you don't like what we say, PUT US ON IGNORE!!!! Do not PM us to say we are a**holes... and that you are telling on us.... it doesn't make us change our minds.

That was rude. I hate to see members leave, even the ones I don't particularly agree with (not directed at you Chris & Andrea V). In fact, I'd say it would be a pretty boring forum if we were all on the same page on every topic.

Please consider just taking a break.
