I sometimes do the same thing to tailgaters, if you insist on riding my rear bumper, I slow down so the distance between the tailgater and me is safe for the speed. I do give a warning first, like tapping my brakes 2 or 3 times, some people take the hint and back off, but those that don't find me slowing down until they get off my bumper.

The last thing I want is someone tailgating me. I drive with a safe distance between me and what's in front of me. If I'm on a bike, I can stop far quicker than most cars and the same is true of my sports car. If a kid runs out in front of me, I don't want to be coming to a stop and have the tailgater drive over me, or push me into what I am stopping to avoid.
