angry.gif I dont know about eveyone else, but im sick and tired of everyone being in a hurry on iron point and empire ranch. The race up the hill from costco, or blowing the 4 way at owl meadows (hey theres a school there). Guess if I look at it on the bright side, you must all have really good insurance..... watch my the break lights, cause there coming on hard and fast. Just slow down people!!!!!!!!!!

In my experience around Folsom, if they go any slower they will need to throw it in reverse!! Geez O pete I get some folks going in front of me on Iron Pt. and through Empire Ranch and Oak Ave. that drive like they are looking at Xmas lights at 1:00pm!?! If people would A.) Drop their cell phones long enough to look in a mirror and B.) Get in the CORRECT lane for where they are going (I love the left hand turn from the 2nd lane when there is only 1 turn lane!! DUH!) we could all probably have a Xmas bonus with the insurance savings!

the more important you are the higher on the hill you live and important people have to drive fast

just use caution in their territory

The police get complaints about speeders every day, but not too many calls about people driving too slow.

It's funny that you mention the slow drivers being on their cell phones, because often the speeders are accused of the same thing.

Folsom isn't a very big town, and while I can get frustrated with someone going below the speed limit, I'd rather have that then the speeders any day. Don't be in such a hurry.

The biggest problem is the people driving through the stop signs. They don't even do the "california stop" they just drive through them. Especially the two on Empire Ranch rd and Owl Meadows and ER and Broadstone. I almost got hit by the same guy twice, two days in a row becuase he couldn't bother to stop.

They also ignore the stop signs on Briggs Ranch Rd. I wish they would get traffic cameras for stop signs. I also rarely encounter a high speed cell phone user, my experience is they drive slow and dangerous.
I would rather be Backpacking

I am alway very careful at those two stops. There have been so many people that blow right on through those two.

I have seen cops watching the ER and Broadstone stop... and actually saw him pull someone over for blatantly going right through without even slowing down.

Some people just have no regard for others.

I drive up the hill on Iron Point (from Costco area) daily, and at least once a week there is a motorcycle officer sitting on one of the side roads looking for speeders. My poor Honda can barely muster the 45 mph speed limit going up the hill, so I am safe, but coming down, I have to ride my brakes just to obey the speed limit.

That hill is sure steep. I hate when the light at Serpa and Iron Point is red... because not having any momentum going up that hill ensures that I can barely reach the speed limit by the top of the hill in my car.

Captain... I need more horsepower!
