You know who makes a GREAT nutburger? The restaurant on Folsom Auburn Rd., in Auburn just as you enter town. Can't remember the name of the restuarnat, but it's in the first strip mall on the left just as you pass Rancheria rd. in the old Steve's Place location. I've never had one so good!

Tried Burgerocity. Liked it fine. Same problem I had with Five Guys though - portions too large and named so as to emotionally coerce you to over-buy and over-eat. Who wants to be the miser that orders a "small" burger, even though it's normal sized? The fries are double portion too.

I had the nuttyburger yesterday and enjoyed the tastes of the spices in it, reminded me of Indian food. The sweet potato fries were good too, tasted great with just the natural flavor of the sweet potatoes, didn't need salt or anything else. I don't know how you could say they were flavorless.

We apparently have different tastes. ;)

Went to Burgerocity last week with hubby. We shared a nutty burger and sweet potato fries. Burger was good, but fries were bad. They were too soft and mushy on the inside. We have had sweet potato fries at other restaurants and these were the worst. Also noticed a fly buzzing around the orders that were sitting on the counter ready to go out....thought that was gross.

Although we probably won't go back, I wish them all the luck in making it. I hope all these comments can be taken as constructive criticisms.

I've given up trying different burger joints. No one makes them better than I can make them myself (they might make them as good, but never any better than I can myself).

I'll eat fastfood burgers when I'm hungry and don't want to bother with cooking or are travelling and don't have the means of cooking at the moment.

I'll eat a burger at a restaurant if nothing else on the menu really tickles my fancy. But usually I can find something I would rather order at a sit-down restaurant than a burger, but sometimes, the burger might be my choice. Odds are though, I'll order a Reuben, French Dip, or a Tuna melt over a burger.

Okay - another delayed review - a few weeks late. After taking my boys to Fudruckers (which used to be incredible when I was a kid back East) - and being disappointed - I continued my journey for a Burger joint that was close and gave me the kind of burger satisfaction I get from In-N-Out without waiting 30 minutes in the drive thru line . . .

Johnny Rockets doesn't do it, nor does Red Robin or Smash Burger . . . . ugh.

So - I took my younger boy to Burgerocity for lunch a few weeks ago and I left with mixed feelings. I thought the burger was actually quite good - as were the fries. I think I might still like In-N-Out burgers better - but this place comes in second - IMO. My disappointment is with the limited menu options - more limited that In-N-Out. In other words, if the family was going to go grab a bite - I don't think we'd go here because of the limited menu (buger, veg burger, dog).

So - good burgers - a place I might stop myself - but not a "destination" for the crew.

Great reviews!

Quick question, what do you mean Burgerocity has a more limited menu then In-n-Out? You noted Burgerocity only has burger, veg burger and dog. I thought in-n-out only served burgers? (just trying to find out if I'm missing out on some in-n-out secret menu items....it's been a while since I last ate there)

Yeah Dave - I probably overstated the breadth of the In-N-Out menu. The Burgerocity menu and In-N-Out menu are pretty similar - but Bugerocity isn't a fast-food chain - so I'd think they'd be well-served having a few more options. I don't know many families that would go out to dinner at a place that just had "big" and "real big" hamburgers on the menu . . . . but hey - whaddo I know . . .

Burgerocity is expanding their menu in the next couple of months....the owner is working out the details now according to the friendly man who waited on me tonight. They will soon be offering tri tip sandwiches, chicken sandwiches & salads.

He said business was really good especially weekday lunches. It was pretty crowded in there tonight.

And they have milkshakes now, too!

I went for the first time last week and the burger is really good.
Better than 5 guys, In and OUt, and Smash.
The regular size if basically a duplicate of what I make at home.
