Okay, folks, I hope you saved your solar viewing devices! You can watch the transit of venus tomorrow (Tuesday) starting about 3 pm PST. I am going to use the pin-hole camera I used to observe the annular eclipse. This is a rare opportunity to watch venus pass before the sun. We will be the last humans alive today to witness this event.

Don't worry, we'll all get to see Nibiru arrive in Dec!

Some call it Planet X. It is supposed to swoop thru our solar system between the Earth and Sun in Dec.

The Sumerians and Mayans knew this.

Will it be dangerous to look at it? Do we need specialized glasses?

It is supposed to be rainy and overcast tomorrow, so maybe we wont be able to see it.

Change in the forecast so it might be sunny- and YES - Dangerous to view it with anything other than specialized glasses or a pin hole transfer...

I have seen pictures of what it will look like to do not plan to even attempt to try to see it live..

Another great  day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

You can always head up to the observatory, they have the right equipment ;)

I am very concerned about all the press last week about the moon and now old venus going in front of the sun. I wonder how much the welfare rolls will grow because of the stupid people who are going to be blinded or have serious vision problems cause that got the wild idea of looking into the sun.

I will be viewing it with my telescope to get the best view possible. I will also get to see any sunspots that are present as we are approaching sunspot maximum. I have a solar filter, so no one will be blinded that stops to look through my scope. I plan to be out in front of my house from 5 to 5:30 for my neighbors benefit, just like I did with the recent eclipse. I will have my telescope at work for the benefit of my co-workers when it first starts shortly after 3 PM. I've got other things to do, so that's why it's a limited 1/2 hour I will be set up for my neighbors.

There's one in Cameron Park, I would go there if I didn't have so many other things to do tomorrow night.

People have telescopes set up at the end of Prairie City in the recreational park. Free to park and look in the telescopes. We just got back. It was cool!
