Okay, folks, I hope you saved your solar viewing devices! You can watch the transit of venus tomorrow (Tuesday) starting about 3 pm PST. I am going to use the pin-hole camera I used to observe the annular eclipse. This is a rare opportunity to watch venus pass before the sun. We will be the last humans alive today to witness this event.
Don't worry, we'll all get to see Nibiru arrive in Dec!

What is that??
Some call it Planet X. It is supposed to swoop thru our solar system between the Earth and Sun in Dec.
The Sumerians and Mayans knew this.

Will it be dangerous to look at it? Do we need specialized glasses?

Change in the forecast so it might be sunny- and YES - Dangerous to view it with anything other than specialized glasses or a pin hole transfer...
I have seen pictures of what it will look like to do not plan to even attempt to try to see it live..
Another great day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

I will be viewing it with my telescope to get the best view possible. I will also get to see any sunspots that are present as we are approaching sunspot maximum. I have a solar filter, so no one will be blinded that stops to look through my scope. I plan to be out in front of my house from 5 to 5:30 for my neighbors benefit, just like I did with the recent eclipse. I will have my telescope at work for the benefit of my co-workers when it first starts shortly after 3 PM. I've got other things to do, so that's why it's a limited 1/2 hour I will be set up for my neighbors.Change in the forecast so it might be sunny- and YES - Dangerous to view it with anything other than specialized glasses or a pin hole transfer...
