I'm thinking of switching from ATT U-verse to Direct TV. Mostly for cost reasons. Does anyone subscribe to Direct TV? What is your experience? Anyone have another favorite?

I cut the cord to tv service and get stations OTA. Look up a few threads that have been started in the last few months.

This. I am quite happy to report I am watching an original Star Trek episode right now! Love some Spock.I cut the cord to tv service and get stations OTA. Look up a few threads that have been started in the last few months.
Knowing the past helps deciphering the future.

Just FYI, I was going to switch to Direct TV but I decided to call AT&T first since I've liked the service but it was just too expensive. I told them I needed my bill to be less expensive and told them the amount that would keep me from switching to Direct TV, and they did it. She applied all the discounts she could for tv and internet and we saved $68/month. Might be worth a call if you haven't yet.

Fowler,
I am surprised. I have been with ATT for years (phone wise), tried the same thing and the only way they would keep me was by cutting my minutes and ADDING ON television + internet.
I told them to pound sand and am switching to T-Mobile and taking my prospective TV business to comcast.
Companies are ridiculous these days.
