A student said that another student has been stabbed at folsom middle school. I am hoping this was a rumor or perhaps old news from last year and not an actual new event. 

 

Anyone from FMS would know?

Yes.  Sounds like he was nicked with a pair of scissors.  Needed a couple few stitches.

This is distressing. Why does this school keep breeding these little felons? Even just one a year is too many. Wish there was a way to eliminate this type of behavior in the schools. I am glad however that this incident did not result in a much more serious injury.

So why wasn't it on the news? Usually a school stabbing is headline news in Sacto. Also, anyone else know why if a FMS student is bad they are sent to Sutter and if a kid is bad at Sutter they are sent to Mather? Yes, ask any Sutter kid and they will tell you they get all the rift raft from FMS. Rolling the eyes....

Btw, if this was a real stabbing wouldn't it be logged in the Folsom police log or do they not report all crimes?

Mather??? trauma would go to UCDavis, Mercy San Juan or Kaiser South. Even possibly Marshall, but not Mather.

I believe the Mather reference is to Mather Youth Academy in Rancho Cordova.

Kids get moved both directions.  It depends on the issue with thd kid.  Both schools send to Mather also.  It is usually for bigger problems.  I think stabbing is an exageration of what really happened but the police did come.

No, I never heard of a Sutter kid being sent to FMS for bad behavior, but I have heard the other way around. If the police showed up, it probably should've made the local news as a stabbing is a very brutal act. Now, if it was some idiot running with scissors and hurt someone, why would the police be there.  I believe, intent is the word.
